Big news from Gov. Patrick's administration today. The state and the federal government reached agreement on three more years of federal matching funds for the Massachusetts health reform law. This agreement was critical to the future of Commonwealth Care.
The total federal commitment is $21.2 billion, a $4.2 billion increase over the previous three-year period. The agreement allows the state to maintain all existing eligibility and benefit levels, including the commitment to help households whose income is 300% of the federal poverty level.
This is great news for Massachusetts residents and for the future of the health reform law.
